Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: April 28, 2026
System2 is a powerful tool. Like any powerful tool, there are uses that are off-limits. This page lists them in plain language.
Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of System2, the AI operations product operated by Autono Labs, Inc. ("Autono Labs," "we," "us"). It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. If you violate the AUP, we may suspend or terminate your account.
We update this page from time to time. Material changes will be posted with a new "Last updated" date and surfaced in-product when practical.
You may not use System2 to harm people
Don't use the Service to:
- Generate, store, or distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors. This is reported to NCMEC and law enforcement without notice.
- Threaten, harass, intimidate, dox, or stalk any person.
- Generate non-consensual intimate imagery (real or synthetic).
- Promote, plan, or incite violence, terrorism, or attacks on people, places, or critical infrastructure.
- Develop, design, or deploy weapons (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or autonomous offensive cyber weapons), or provide operational uplift for them.
- Generate content that praises, glorifies, or recruits for terrorist or violent extremist organizations.
- Generate content that promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
You may not use System2 to deceive
- Impersonate another person, company, or System2 itself, including by generating deepfake audio or video of real people without their explicit consent.
- Run disinformation, influence-operation, or astroturfing campaigns.
- Generate fraudulent reviews, fake engagement, or inauthentic social-media activity.
- Run scams, phishing, romance fraud, business email compromise, or other fraud schemes.
- Generate forged documents (IDs, certifications, transcripts, legal documents) intended to deceive.
- Manipulate elections, suppress voter turnout, or generate misleading political advertising.
You may not use System2 to break the law
- Infringe copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, patents, publicity, or any other intellectual or proprietary right.
- Violate anyone's privacy, including by scraping personal data at scale or generating profiles of identifiable individuals from public records without their knowledge.
- Distribute malware, exploits, ransomware, spyware, or tools designed for unauthorized access to systems.
- Sell, market, or distribute regulated goods or services (drugs, firearms, financial instruments, gambling, adult content) where you are not properly licensed or where the use violates applicable law.
- Engage in money laundering, sanctions evasion, or trade with sanctioned parties.
- Use the Service in any way that violates U.S. export control laws (EAR, ITAR) or applicable international equivalents.
You may not abuse the Service itself
- Bypass rate limits, security controls, or pricing tiers (e.g. operating multiple free accounts to circumvent quotas).
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our prompts, agent definitions, or model weights.
- Resell access to System2 without a written reseller agreement with us.
- Use System2's output to train competing AI models or build products that compete with the Service.
- Run sustained automated load that destabilizes the Service for other users (denial-of-service, traffic floods, runaway loops).
- Submit content with the intent of poisoning logs, telemetry, or training pipelines.
- Attempt to subvert our safety measures via adversarial prompts, jailbreaks, or prompt injections.
You may not use AI for high-stakes automated decisions
The Service is not approved for use as the SOLE basis for legally significant decisions about an identifiable individual. Specifically, you may not use Output without qualified human review for:
- Medical diagnosis or treatment decisions.
- Legal rights, obligations, or court-related decisions.
- Employment decisions (hiring, firing, promotion, pay, performance review).
- Credit, insurance, housing, or government benefit eligibility.
- Immigration, asylum, deportation, or border enforcement decisions.
- Educational decisions that affect academic standing or admissions.
- Criminal justice (predictive policing, sentencing, parole, probation).
A qualified human in the relevant domain must review and take responsibility for these decisions. We may require contractual representations to this effect for use cases adjacent to these areas.
Regulated data is off-limits without a separate agreement
Do not submit the following categories of regulated data to System2 unless we have signed a written agreement that specifically permits it:
- Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA. We do not currently sign Business Associate Agreements; the Service is not HIPAA-compliant and must not be used to process PHI.
- Education records covered by FERPA, including student personally identifiable information from K-12 or higher-education institutions.
- Cardholder data covered by PCI DSS (full primary account numbers, CVV, track data). Payment is handled by our payment processor; the Service is not PCI-certified.
- Non-public personal financial information covered by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) where you are a covered financial institution and have not signed a separate data-handling agreement with us.
- Classified, controlled, or export-restricted information (e.g. CUI, ITAR / EAR-controlled technical data, NATO classified). The Service is not authorised for these categories.
- Children's personal information from users under 13 (under COPPA) or under the higher local-law threshold where it applies.
If you have a use case that requires processing regulated data and you'd like to discuss whether System2 can accommodate it, contact legal@autono.sh.
Pass-through obligations
System2 calls Anthropic's Claude API on your behalf. By using the Service, you also agree to comply with Anthropic's Usage Policy as if you were Anthropic's direct customer.
When you connect a third-party Integration (Linear, Notion, Slack, Gmail, HubSpot, etc.), you also agree to comply with that provider's terms of service, acceptable use, and privacy policy. We are not responsible for ensuring your use of an Integration via System2 complies with that provider's terms — that is your responsibility.
Reporting abuse
If you see content or behavior that violates this AUP, email abuse@autono.sh with a description of the issue, any URLs or quest IDs, and context that would help us investigate. We treat reports confidentially where reasonable; we may disclose to law enforcement when legally required.
Enforcement
Autono Labs enforces this AUP. We may, at our discretion and depending on severity:
- Issue a warning.
- Restrict feature access (e.g. rate-limit further).
- Suspend the account temporarily.
- Terminate the account permanently.
- Cooperate with law enforcement, including providing account information in response to valid legal process.
For severe violations — CSAM, imminent threats of violence, ongoing fraud, large-scale abuse — we will act immediately and without prior notice, and may report to law enforcement and to Anthropic where required by our agreements with them.
We aim to be fair. Where the violation is ambiguous and the intent appears good-faith, we will reach out and work with you before taking action.
